Connecting families to trusted local professionals
ProntoCasa aims to alleviate the stress of home maintenance by providing families with a direct link to trusted professionals.
This team project was done by Harshita Nagpal, Alondra Arguello, Gahan Rao and Rohan Dharane as a part of a three week long course called Service Design at CIID in 2025.
QUALITATIVE RESEARCH
Through qualitative research with seven families living in Bergamo, primarily homeowners with children, the team identified a significant pain point: the lack of dependable service providers.
This deficiency forced families to rely on DIY attempts or irrelevant online searches for childcare, eldercare, and maintenance. While word-of-mouth referrals offered some reliability, they proved too slow for urgent needs.

WIREFRAMES
ProntoCasa's service addresses lack of trust by offering a curated list of professionals with reviews and contact recommendations, building trust and streamlining the service selection process.
Through evaluative research, the team learned that having contact recommendations helped families feel that they can trust the professionals shown, which was a vital factor for families searching for help.
